At the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University Hospital AKH Vienna, the diagnostics and treatment of mental illnesses are carried out according to the current state of science. The latest findings in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy allow us to develop innovative and personalized treatment concepts and thus offer our patients the best possible therapy options. In order to constantly meet this goal, our clinic always strives to explore and process the latest aspects of psychiatric research and incorporate them into our daily work.

Our scientific commitment includes our own research initiatives, which are sometimes implemented in cooperation with national and international experts and research groups. The knowledge gained here not only deepens our understanding of the psychiatric diseases we treat, but is also passed on to prospective physicians as part of university teaching.

Employees of our clinic are also active in the Medical Neuroscience Cluster, the Medical Imaging Cluster and the Comprehensive Center for Clinical Neurosciences and Mental Health and incorporate this cooperation into our daily work in terms of the interdisciplinary development of treatment strategies.
